  • Chloramphenicol Chloramphenicol.
  • Other central nervous system (CNS) depressants (antihistamines, narcotics, phenothiazines).
  • Valproic acid.
Drugs acted on by pentobarbitone (enhanced metabolism/decreased effect)
  • Beta-blockers, eg propranolol.
  • Corticosteroids.
