Definition

  • Anesthesia means without feeling or sensation; this includes absence of pain perception.

Indications

  • Examination, eg oral examination    Dental examination  , radiography, dental correction   Dentistry (clipping / filing)  , surgery, and other procedures, eg wound management   Wound: management  .
  • Most anesthetic agents are unlicensed in rabbits, and therefore informed owner consent should be obtained before their use.
