  • Biochemical measure of bilirubin (total) Blood biochemistry: total bilirubin in mg/dl.
  • Cytological evaluation is difficult unless crystals are observed or can be recognized intracellularly.
  • Culture and sensitivity if concurrent infection is suspected.
