  • Drug of choice in rickettsia, Borrelia, leptospirosis.
  • Drug of choice in avian chlamydiosis.
  • Recommended when tetracyclines are indicated in animals with renal impairment.
  • Preferred by some to oxytetracycline for use in birds.
