Interactions

with other drugs

  • Bacteriocidal activity reduced by concomitant use of bacteriostatic agents:
  • Tetracyclines   Tetracycline  .
  • Erythromycin   Erythromycin  .
  • Increased risk of nephrotoxicity if used with amphotericin or loop diuretics eg furosemide   Furosemide  .
  • Reduced excretion if given with probencid .
