Interactions

with other drugs

  • Bacteriocidal activity reduced by concomitant use of bacteriostatic agents:
  • Tetracyclines Tetracycline.
  • Erythromycin Erythromycin.
  • Increased risk of nephrotoxicity if used with amphotericin or loop diuretics, eg furosemide Furosemide.
  • Reduced excretion if given with probencid .
