Interactions

with other drugs

  • Opioid analgesics and antimuscarinics, eg atropine Atropine may antagonize cisapride's effects.
  • Fatal arrhythmia may be seen in conjunction with:
    • Erythromycin, clarythromycin Clarithromycin, troleandomycin.
    • Itraconazole [Itraconazole], ketoconazole [Ketoconazole], fluconazole [Fluconazole] and miconazole.
  • Increases bioavailability of cyclosporine.
  • Increases absorption of aspirin, acetaminophen, diazepam [Diazepam], ethanol.
  • May have synergistic effects when used with H2 receptor antagonists.
