  • Treatment of nutritional secondary hyperparathyroidism (metabolic bone diseases Metabolic bone disease), particularly as an adjunct therapy for those cases with bone involvement but no hypocalcemia .
  • It has been used by some authors, but its used in reptiles is not generalized.
  • It may speed bone repair in reptiles with nutritional secondary hyperparathyroidism.
