Interactions

with other drugs

  • Dexamethasone, praziquantel Praziquantel and cimetidine Cimetidine may increase serum levels of albendazole.
  • Albendazole may inhibit theophylline metabolism.

  • Monitor efficacy and adverse effect while treating patients with albendazole.
  • Consider monitoring complete blood count (CBC) and liver parameters if treated for a long-term.
