Physical properties

  • White crystalline powder that may have a slight odor.
  • Soluble in water and alcohol.
  • Available commercially in a variety of salts: citrate, adipate, phosphate, hexahydrate, dihydrochloride.
  • Each salt contains a variable amount of piperazine. Salts have between 35 and 50% piperazine.

  • Store at room temperature.
