Overview

  • Sorbitol dehydrogenase is a hepatocyte cytosol enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of the polyhydric alcohol sorbitol to glucose. Clinically it is liver specific with inconsequentially small amounts found in the small intestine and kidney.
