Introduction

  • Swelling of soft tissues of palate immediately caudal to incisors.
  • Cause: unknown.
  • Signs: may be decreased appetite and/or increased salivation.
  • Diagnosis: history, clinical signs.
  • Treatment: none.
  • Prognosis: resolves without therapy.

Pathogenesis

Etiology

  • Unknown.

Pathophysiology

  • Physiologic swelling of palatine soft tissues immediately caudal to incisors, possibly associated with erupting incisor teeth.
