Introduction

  • Rose-Bengal stain binds to dead/degenerating cells and mucus.

Uses

Advantages

  • Simple test to perform.
  • Rapid results.

Disadvantages

  • Topical 1% Rose Bengal solution is irritant in approximately 75% of dogs. However, this irritation if not severe enough to negate its use.
