General information

  • Originated in the Netherlands, specifically for the flushing and retrieving of birds (ducks and geese).
  • Nearly became extinct during the two World Wars.
  • Predominant use today for enticing ducks into traps to enable banding and identification.
  • Even tempered and friendly with a well insulated undercoat covered with a heavy and luxurious topcoat.
  • Will require regular grooming.
