Indications

  • Streptomycin-sensitive infections.
  • This would mainly comprise Gram-negative organisms and some Gram-positive organisms, eg Staphylococci Staphylococci.
  • Indicated in the treatment of infections caused by organisms sensitive to streptomycin, in particular Leptospirosa spp Leptospirosa spp and Mycobacterium tuberculosis Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
All obligate anaerobes are resistant.
