- The primary clinical sign is the presence of a non-pruritic scaling dermatoses. Patchy alopecia and erythema may also be present.
- The scaling may first start on the head or dew-lap area.
- In the limited number of rabbits with this disease, several had other health problems, such as ulcerative pododermatitis ('sore hocks') and a mediastinal cyst. The relationship of these diseases with sebaceous adenitits is uncertain.
