Causes

  • Severe hemorrhage.
  • Severe gastrointestinal disease.
  • Endotoxemia  Shock: septic  /systemic inflammatory response syndrome  Systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS)  .
  • Other causes of marked plasma loss such as severe burns  Burns   and sequestration into pleural, peritoneal and retroperitoneal spaces.
