Introduction

  • Includes:
    • Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL)  Acute lymphoblastic leukemia  .
    • Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL)  Chronic lymphoid leukemia  .
    • Myeloma.
    • Lymphoma (LSA)  Lymphoma  .
  • Cause : Unknown; FeLV  Feline leukemia virus disease  (lymphoma, ALL).
  • Signs : Referable to cytopenia due to neoplastic cell infiltration of bone marrow, eg anemia, thrombocytopenia, granulocytopenia.
  • Diagnosis : Hematology, biopsy of any discrete mass, bone marrow biopsy.
  • Treatment : Cytotoxic drugs.
  • Prognosis : Poor if ALL; good to fair if CLL; fair to guarded if myeloma or LSA.
