Introduction

  • Seen in short-faced breeds, eg Persians. May see 90° rotation and overlapping of cusps.
  • Predisposes to periodontitis.

Diagnosis

Clinical signs

  • Crowding of teeth evident on oral examination.
  • Gingivitis  Mouth: gingivitis - hyperplastic plasmacytic   Mouth: stomatitis and gingivitis 01   Mouth: stomatitis and gingivitis 02   Mouth: stomatitis and gingivitis 03   Mouth: stomatitis and gingivitis 04 - despite tooth extraction   Gingivitis and stomatitis  .

  • Retained deciduous teeth  Retained temporary teeth (Persistent primary teeth)  .
