Surgical approach stifle lateral
- 01 - for repair of cranial cruciate ligament rupture using a fascial graft (over the top technique)
- 02 - incise through lateral fascia
- 03 - continue incision into lateral third of straight patellar ligament
- 04 - form graft by making second parallel incision
- 05 - incise joint capsule
- 06 - luxate patella medially and extend joint capsule incision
- 07 - insert graft passer into caudal aspect of joint starting in region of femoral fabellar ligament
- 08 - take graft under sub-patella fat pad
- 09 - ensure point of graft passer exits lateral to caudal cruciate ligament
- 10 - attach graft to graft passer
- 11 - suture graft to femoral fabellar ligament
- 12 - close joint capsule and repair defect in lateral fascia
- 13 - close subcutaneous tissue
