- Halogenated inhalation anesthetic drug.

Action
- As an induction agent and/or maintenance inhalant anesthetic agent
- Generalized central nervous system depression (produces general anesthesia).
- Onset of, and recovery from anesthesia are rapid due to the low solubility of sevoflurane.
Indications
- Approved for the induction and maintenance of anesthesia in dogs

Effects of overdosage
- Results in profound respiratory and cardiovascular depression.
Treatment
Antidote for overdose
- None.
- If signs of overdose occur, decrease or stop administration. Support respiratory function and use positive inotropes to support cardiac function if needed.
