Action

  • A xanthine derivative which increases blood flow to the heart, muscle, and CNS.
  • Also has an anti-arrhythmic action, positive inotropic and chronotropic effects on the heart, inhibitory effects on platelet aggregation and reduces peripheral vascular resistance.

Indications



Lethargy
  • Elevated oxygenation reportedly improves demeanor in animals who are dull and lethargic.
  • Anecdotal evidence of use in diseases with underlying vasculitis, ear margin seborrhea, immune-mediated skin disease, eg atopy, contact allergy and SLE.
