- Cell cycle non-specific antineoplastic agent - an analogue of cisplatin.
- Intracellular carboplatin binds to DNA to form intra- and interstrand crosslinks and DNA-protein crosslinks.
Indications
- Used against various carcinomas and sarcomas.
- Increases the survival time when used as an adjunct to amputation in dogs with appendicular osteosarcoma.
