Introduction
- Cause : inherited disorder of keratinization or cornification.
- Signs : scaly skin, often greasy, often malodoros; greasy otitis externa common.
- Diagnosis : history, clinical signs, exclude causes of secondary seborrhea.
- Treatment : management of secondary skin and ear infections, topical therapy and oral retinoids.
- Prognosis : incurable.
